Rightwingers denied bail

Three men accused of plotting to assassinate the ANC's leaders at the party's Manguang conference in December, have been denied bail by the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court.

Mark Trollip, John Keevy and Johan Prinsloo were remanded in custody.

Magistrate Mziwonke Hinxa held that aspects of the three men's health and other family considerations did not qualify as exceptional circumstances in the bail hearing.

A fourth accused, Hein Boonzaaier, was granted bail of R80 000.

Their case was postponed to the 25th of March for further investigation.
