The number of rhino poached in South Africa since the first of January has climbed to 102.
The Department of Environmental Affairs says 4 rhino were poached in the Kruger National Park in the past week and 2 at a game reserve close to Polokwane in Limpopo Province.
The Department says in the past 48 hours, five suspected poachers were arrested in Limpopo and one in the Kruger National Park.
This brings to 40 the number of alleged poachers and couriers arrested since the beginning of the year.
