Durban restaurant, Wish on Florida, will be closing its doors nearly two months after rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes and his friend Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane were shot and killed outside the establishment.
On the 10th of February, Forbes and a group of friends dined at Wish but shortly after leaving the restaurant later that evening, Forbes and Motsoane were gunned down.
In a statement, on Monday the management of Wish on Florida said since then there has been a severe business downturn, leaving directors with no choice but to close the establishment permanently.
They said the shooting has deeply affected the brand.
The 10th of April will be the establishment's final day of business, when it will host what it calls, "The Last Supper".
Management said they were proud to have won the Emerging Tourism Entrepreneur Award at the Durban Tourism Business Awards last year, having been in business for 3 years.
