South African National Parks (SANParks) said on Wednesday that three field rangers had been arrested on suspicion of poaching in the Kruger National Park (KNP).
The suspects were based at crocodile bridge section and are currently in custody for further investigation until they appear in court.
The Park's managing executive Glenn Phillips said it is always sad when their own staff become involved in poaching.
He did, however, congratulate all the investigators involved for their diligent work in bringing these criminals to book.
Phillips urged rangers who are still involved or know of others' involvement to come forward.
He encouraged honest rangers to continue with their excellent work.
