A five-year-old girl was killed after she was attacked by two pit bulls in White River, near Nelspruit.

Police spokesperson Leonard Hlathi said the incident occurred on Tuesday around 5 pm.
He says it is alleged that the owner of the dogs, a 51-year-old woman, was walking with the victim's parents as they returned from work.
The child was also in their company.
Hlathi says the moment the woman opened her gate, the dogs attacked the little girl.
She was certified dead at the scene.
A case of culpable homicide is underway.
