Popular radio presenters DJ Fresh and Euphonik who were accused of rape, will not be prosecuted.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says the matter was presented to the prosecutor and upon perusal of all the evidence available in the docket, a decision was taken not to prosecute.
The NPA says there are no prospects of successful prosecution on the available evidence.
On Wednesday last week, Primedia Broadcasting cut ties with Fresh and Euphonik following the rape allegations against them on social media.
The alleged victim opened a formal case of rape and claimed that both presenters drugged and raped her back in 2011.
This is not the first time DJ Fresh has been accused of rape and not the first time that Euphonik's name has been associated with Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Activist and poet Ntsikii Mazwai was the first to accuse DJ Fresh, on Twitter, of rape.
Fresh, whose real name is Thato Sikwane took Mazwai to Court which ordered her to remove all defamatory statements about him online.
Following the latest developments, Mazwai took to Twitter yet again to show her support for the victim, who is the granddaughter of Winnie Madikizela Mandela.
