A man accused of stabbing his wife, radio presenter Dimakatso Ratselane, has been arrested.
A warrant of arrest was issued on Monday for Ratselane's 39-year-old husband Mackenzie.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele says within 24 hours of the arrest warrant being issued, the suspect was traced to a house in Gauteng.
He says on Tuesday, Free State police were assisted by the Soweto Flying Squad who tracked down the suspect at a house in Ennerdale.
Brigadier Makhele says he was arrested and will be charged with attempted murder.
Ratselani, who is a presenter at Lesedi FM in Bloemfontein, was found in a pool of blood on Thursday last week near a popular local tavern.
It is believed that she had an argument with her husband on the night of the incident.
Free State police officially identified her husband as a person of interest and issued a warrant for his arrest on Monday.
