A North-West bank teller accused of stealing from a lottery winner in March is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
The 29-year-year old Nonhlahla Phillona Matinyane will appear before the Swartruggens Magistrate's Court after being arrested for theft.
Police investigation revealed that she allegedly stole from a client, who previously won an undisclosed amount of money in the National Lottery.
The 46-year-old client was alerted by her financial advisor that withdrawals with substantial amounts were made from her account.
The alleged theft was then reported to the bank and the police.
Matinyane is out on bail of R1 500.
The case, however, might be postponed due to lockdown regulations.
