Durban police say last week's double murder on Suncoast Beach has been changed to a murder-suicide.
The bodies of the 24-year-old Kresan Chandiah and the 50-year-old Fatima Muhammad were found on the beach's dunes last Monday morning.
They were found with stab wounds to the chest by a man collecting plastic and paper in the area.
Police spokesperson, Jay Naicker the post mortems conducted changed their investigation to an inquest docket as well as a murder.
Muhammad's bag with her ID book was found at the scene.
