The Clicks Group said on Thursday it had decided to close its Musica entertainment business in South Africa due to the shift to digital consumption of music, heightened by the global Covid-19 pandemic.
Musica was acquired by the Clicks group in 1992.
At the time it was the largest retailer of music and related entertainment merchandise in the country.
Musica closed 19 stores already and is currently trading from 59 stores nationwide.
The remaining stores will be closed as leases expire over the next four months.
Musica announced its closing down sale on their Facebook page on Thursday.
