More than 800 new COVID-19 cases reported in SA

The Department of Health says 831 new Covid-19 infections were reported countrywide in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 14 355.

Minister, Dr Zweli Mkize said 14 deaths were reported yesterday, taking the toll to 261.

He said the total number of recoveries to date was 6 478.

The Eastern Cape has 1 812 coronavirus infections with 32 deaths.

A total of 439,559 tests had been conducted with 18,004 done in the past 24-hour cycle.
