Free State police are investigating the murder of a 37-year-old woman and her two children, aged nine and two.
Their bodies were found in a bedroom in a house in Extension Three in Zamdela in Sasolburg on Sunday.
“All deceased appeared to have been stabbed with a sharp object,” said police spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele.
A 16-year-old boy who was also in the house was unharmed.
“The husband was not found at the house and the police are still trying to trace his whereabouts,” Makhele said.
