Police in Makhado in the Limpopo Province have launched a search operation for a 37-year-old woman and her two children.
Spokesperson Sergeant Monatse Mamobolo says Elizabeth van der Merwe was last seen on the 27th of September when she left her place of residence at a farm outside Louis Trichardt.
She reportedly left everything behind, including her phone.
Sergeant Mamobolo says Elizabeth was due for a visit with her two children aged seven and nine, who are currently living at a children's home in Modimolle.
It is further alleged that she picked up her two children in Polokwane when they disembarked from a bus coming from the children's home last Saturday.
Police say they departed to an unknown destination.
