Man killed, three injured in head-on collision

A man has been killed in a head-on collision in Verulam, north of Durban.

Netcare 911's Chris Botha says a bus and car crashed into each on Friday night, and the car was found pinned underneath the bus.

He says the driver of the car was killed on impact .

Botha says firemen had to use the Jaws-of-Life to free three people, including a five-year-old child. The cause of the accident is not known.

The child and the other injured were taken to various hospitals in the area.
