Malema was charged for contravening the Riotous Assemblies Act after calling for land invasions.
In June 2016 Malema told supporters in Newcastle to occupy land because it belonged to blacks.
He told his supporters at the time that he was not afraid to go to prison on the land issue.
The case was postponed to the 8th of July.
Malema is facing a similar charge in Bloemfontein.
