Latest holiday road death toll figures

 The Road Traffic Management Corporation has just released the latest figures for the festive season road death toll.

It says 1,465 people died on the roads.

This figure is for the period from the 1st of December to the 8th of January.

A total of 1,221 fatal crashes were reported.
