The SABC’s premises in Bloemfontein have been cleared for operations after an intruder was shot and wounded following a scuffle with security in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Hawks spokesperson, Brigadier Thandi Mbambo says it is alleged that the 27-year-old suspect attacked the security officials and one managed to pull out his official firearm and shot the intruder.
She says the suspect was taken to a local hospital where he is currently under police guard.
Mbambo says they are investigating cases of business burglary, trespassing, malicious damage to property, and intimidation, while a separate case of attempted murder will also be investigated.
"The suspect will appear in court soon and the investigation continues", she said.
