The Eastern Cape Organised Crime Investigation Unit in Gqeberha is investigating a double murder in Kwazakele on Friday evening.
Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says it is alleged that the community heard multiple gunshots being fired in Sakuba Street, Zwide at around 8pm and soon there after a car sped off.
She says community members found two men lying on the pavement with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
The motive for the attack and the suspects are unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
Captain Janse van Rensburg said the names of the deceased would be released once their next of kin had identified them.
