Gauteng police arrested one of their own after a 36-year-old Sergeant was found intoxicated behind the wheel of a police vehicle.
Colonel Dimakatso Sello says the member from Alexandra Police Station in Johannesburg, was found drunk in a state vehicle in Limpopo this weekend.
She said preliminary investigations revealed that the member utilised the station's vehicle without authority to travel to another province.
He now faces a charge of using a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, and will also face a Departmental inquiry.
