Free State police have arrested a 23-year-old man for transporting liquor during the adjusted COVID-19 Level 3 lockdown.
Provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele says members in Phuthaditjhaba received information in the early hours of Friday morning about a person who was transporting liquor in a funeral parlour vehicle.
He says the vehicle was traced and found in Harrismith where it was searched and liquor valued at R5 000 was confiscated.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and will appear in the Harrismith Magistrate's Court soon.
