Four people were killed and five others were injured following an accident between two vehicles in Tzaneen in Limpopo on Saturday morning.
ER24's Russel Meiring says the accident happened at around 7am, when a light motor vehicle collided with an SUV.
He says paramedics found four people trapped inside the light motor vehicle, and they were declared dead at the scene.
Five other people from the SUV were injured, one of them critically, and they were transported to nearby hospitals for further medical care.
The cause of the accident is not yet known, and local authorities are investigating.
