A 19-year-old man was seriously injured when he was allegedly thrown from a moving train near the Duncanville Station in Vereeniging in Gauteng.
ER24 said its personnel were called to the scene on Friday night where they found the man lying on the embankment near the tracks.
"Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his leg, leaving him in a serious condition," said ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring.
The details surrounding the incident were not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene to investigate, he said.
