Four killed in Karoo accident

Four people have been killed and two others injured in an accident on the Hofmeyr Road, just outside Cradock.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Elmarie Lotz, says the accident happened on Sunday afternoon.

She says the driver appears to have lost control of the vehicle which left the road and overturned.

Lotz says three people died on the scene while a fourth person died later in hospital.

The names of the deceased have not yet been released and a culpable homicide docket has been opened.
