Western Cape police have launched a manhunt for those responsible for a shooting incident in Browns Farm on Thursday which left four family members dead and one person injured.
Spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa says preliminary reports indicate that two unknown men forcefully entered the victims' home in Makhosi Street where they shot and killed three women and a child.
She says the victims were aged 69, 30, 18 and 11.
One person was injured in the shooting and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
The names of the victims have not yet been released.
