Four suspects are expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrates' Court today in connection with the murder of Hettie Deacon and her daughter Lizette.
The 70-year-old Hettie and her 55-year-old daughter Lizette were stabbed to death in their Welgelegen Townhouse complex earlier this month.
The Deacons owned the local Ocean Basket franchise and were well known in the community.
Both their bodies were discovered inside their vehicle which was found abandoned on the R37 road between Polokwane and Lebowakgomo.
A spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority Mashubu Malabi Dzhangi says police first arrested two men aged 30 and 35 and later arrested the Deacon's domestic worker and her boyfriend.
The accused will face two charges of murder as well as house robbery.
They are the 51-year-old domestic worker Sophy Mmaki, the 41-year-old Lazarus Mohlo and Abibi Hamid and Casper Mudau.
Police are still searching for one more suspect, a Zimbabwean called Owen, who uses several surnames.
