In KZN, four people were injured on Tuesday morning when a train plunged into a river at Amanzimtoti.
The raging Amanzimtoti River had eroded the sand from under the train tracks, causing the train to plunge several meters into the waters below.
Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit arrived at the scene and found the four staff members severely traumatized.
They were stabilized at the scene before being transported to the Netcare Kingsway hospital for further treatment.
