Five people, including two children, were killed and nine others were injured after a bakkie overturned on the R553 Golden Highway near Sebokeng in Gauteng late on Saturday evening.
ER24's Russell Meiring says paramedics found several people, that had been transported on the back of the bakkie, scattered around the scene.
He says two children and three adults were declared dead, while nine people were treated at the scene by medical staff.
They all sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for further care.
The cause of the accident is not known and local authorities are investigating.
