Explosion at East Rand mall

 Eight people were injured in an explosion at the Festival Mall in Kempton Park on Thursday, Gauteng police said.

"The explosion took place in one of the restaurants inside the mall," Lt-Col Tshisikhawe Ndou said.

The eight people who sustained injuries during the explosion were taken to a nearby hospital.

"The cause of the explosion is still unknown and police are still busy on the scene." (Sapa)
