Limpopo Transport MEC, Florence Radzilani, lamented the loss of eight lives in a horror accident on Saturday.
Authorities said a BMW sedan collided with a mini-bus taxi on the N1 near Botlokwa.
The Ministry said that two children were among the victims, which also included two females and four males.
According to Department spokesperson, Vongani Chauke, one passenger from the mini-bus remains in a “life-threatening” situation while seven other people sustained serious injuries.
Saturday’s accident came a week after 22 workers were killed when their bus taking them to work at a mine collided with a truck.
