The blasting cartridges confiscated by SAPS at the Beirtbridge Border Post

Police in Polokwane arrested a 30-year-old suspect at the Beitbridge Border Post on Sunday for trying to smuggle explosives into the country.
Spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo says the suspect was driving a vehicle branded with the name of a funeral undertaker in Gauteng.
The vehicle was also towing a trailer.
He says upon searching both the vehicle and the trailer, police discovered 306 units of blasting cartridges as well as four detonating cords with a value of R700 800.00
The driver was arrested and will appear in Musina Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of smuggling and possession of explosives.
