A woman from Hillcrest in Kwazulu Natal is dealing with an unthinkable tragedy after losing her son in a motorbike accident just days after her husband died.
Linda Herbst, whose husband Paul died on Monday just days after returning from a rescue mission in Türkiye announced on Facebook that her son had been killed in a motorbike accident on Friday.
Herbst took to Facebook to announce his death.
"My beloved son Sevaughn passed away this morning (Friday) in a tragic motorbike accident. We have gone from a family of 4 to 2 in a matter of 4 days. I am numb, in disbelief. We have not even buried Paul yet.
"
No further details of the accident are known.
Sevaughn's father Paul and his K9 Odi had just returned from a rescue mission in Türkiye following a devastating earthquake that the World Health Organisation (WHO) described as the worst natural disaster in the European Region for a century.
Herbst was the Director of Medi Response in KZN who asked the public to respect the family's privacy during this time.
The cause of Herbst death was not divulged to the public.
