Democratic Alliance MP, Professor Belinda Bozzoli has died, reportedly after battling cancer.
Party chief whip, Natasha Mazzone, said they were deeply saddened at the passing of “the Shadow Minister of Higher Education, Constituency Head, acclaimed academic, friend and colleague.”
She said Professor Bozzoli was deeply committed to her work in Parliament and ensuring that higher education institutions remained respected and that as many young people as possible had access to excellent higher education.
She said; “Belinda worked long into her illness, demonstrating her absolute commitment to South Africa and her caucus.”
