Health Minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize said in his daily report on Monday evening that the country's Covid19 fatality rate passed 30 000.
He also said that 12 601 new cases were identified, bringing the total number of cases to 1 113 349.
A total of 434 deaths were recorded, with the Western Cape reporting the highest number of fatalities.
"This means we have breached the 30 000 mark for the cumulative number of Covid-19 related deaths identified, at 30 011.”
The recovery rate stands at 81.9% while the number of actives cases were 171 765.
