There was jubilation in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Tuesday when bail was denied to a businessman charged with conspiracy to murder his wife and a friend.
Magistrate Janine Ungerer dismissed the bail application of Stanley Leshabane and his four co-accused, said to be hired hitmen, to claps and cheers from the public gallery.
Mokoena Leshabane and her friend and business partner, Tebogo Mphuti, were shot execution-style while they were seated in a car at an industrial site in Polokwane in October.
Leshabane is reportedly a "tenderpreneur" while the four accomplices he allegedly hired work in the taxi industry in Germiston and Katlehong.
The case against them was postponed to 1 April.
