Police in Qachasnek (near Lesotho) arrested three people who were illegally in possession of two reptiles.
Officials were busy with routine patrols and had a stop and search operation as part of their #SafetyFriday's campaign.
Saps were shocked when they discovered what they refer to as a 1.9m long "African Boer Snake" as well as a Nile crocodile in a Sedan.
A 39-year old driver and two male passengers aged between 27 and 39 were arrested on the spot.
The vehicle was travelling from Limpopo.
The men have been charged with the unlawful possession of endangered species and will appear in the Maluti Magistrates Court on Monday
