Cele and Madikizela-Mandela amongst those elected to NEC

Disgraced former police commissioner Bheki Cele and struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela have been elected to the ANC's national executive committee.
The announcement of Cele and former Gauteng housing MEC Humphrey Mmemezi's names were greeted with cheers from delegates on the last day of the ANC's national elective conference.
Madikizela-Mandela did not get any cheers when her name was announced.
Thirteen high-profile members of the ANC in the Eastern Cape made it onto the ruling party's 80-strong National Executive Committee.
These included Gugile Nkwinti, Nosiviwe mapisa -Nqakula, Stone Sizani, Lindiwe Sisuslu and Enoch Godongwana.
Eastern Cape ANC Chairperson, Phumulo Masualle said the party in the region was happy with the leadership emerging from the elective conference in Mangaung.
He said it reflected the kind of balance and continuity the party was striving for.
