"Madiba in serious condition but a fighter" Zuma

 Former president Nelson Mandela spent his 13th day in hospital on Thursday.

President Jacob Zuma also revealed that Madiba was in a serious condition and had undergone an operation several days ago.

In his closing address to the ANC's 53rd conference in Mangaung last night, Zuma said Madiba is a fighter and has always been so.

He said Madiba met all his health challenges with his tremendous fortitude and grace.
