The owners of a bungee jumping company and two employees have been found guilty of culpable homicide in the Graskop Magistrate's Court.
Yesterday's verdict followed the death of 29 year old Jo-Ann Samuels who was killed when the roped failed during a tandem jump with her husband, Hendrick.
He was seriously injured.
District magistrate Dries Lamprecht found the bungee jumping company to be negligent.
He imposed a fine of 300-thousand rand on the owner of the Big Swing company which was suspended for five years while the two employees were fined 100-thousand rand each, suspended for a year.
Vuka Marketing was also ordered to pay Samuels 120-thousand rand compensation.
