A three-month-old baby and an 11-year-old girl have been killed in a shooting incident at their home in Vanderbijlpark in Gauteng.
ER24's Ross Campbell says paramedics found the children's 30-year-old mother on a bed in a room with her infant on Friday.
He says she had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
The 11-year-old was found on another bed in the same room.
Campbell says a 5-year-old girl, who was hiding under blankets, was found unharmed.
He says the mother was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown and police are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder.
No arrests have yet been made.
