A young woman is expected to appear in the Brits Magistrates court on Monday for allegedly plotting to kill her entire family when she was only 16-years old.
The suspect, who is now 20 was arrested with two alleged hitmen in Brits and Soshanguve this weekend.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani says after five years the woman went to the Mmakau Police station and admitted to killing her family members.
She says it is alleged that the suspect organised two men to kill her 42-year-old father who was a police officer, his 40-year-old wife, their 18-year-old pregnant daughter as well as their six-year-old son.
Lieutenant Colonel Funani says the teenager went outside the house to wash the dishes when she claimed she heard shots inside the house.
The hitmen shot her as well and wounded her on her thigh before they fled in the family vehicle.
The daughter's alleged accomplices were also teenagers at the time of the murders and are now 23-years-old.
