The ANC says it condemns the senseless act of terrorism in Boston on Monday.
National spokesperson, Jackson Mthembu says there can be no justification for such a despicable attack that claimed three lives and injured more than 140 people.
He says they call on the US government to do everything in its power to bring to book those responsible.
Meanwhile, trade union federation Cosatu has also condemned the bombings.
Cosatu says its outrageous that such an act could have been committed against people engaged in a peaceful sporting event.
Meanwhile the Department of International Relations has sent two consular officials to Boston to assist those South Africans who were injured in the bombing.
Department spokesperson, Clayson Monyela, says they're monitoring the situation.
