The 35-year-old suspect charged with the murder of a German Tourist near White River in Mpumalanga earlier this month made his second court appearance on Wednesday.
Napoleon Joseph Nyalunga is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and attempted hijacking following the incident on the 3rd of October in which four German tourists came under attack.
The National Prosecuting Authority says it is alleged that the four tourists were travelling at Numbi Gate at Mdluli Safari Lodge earlier this month when three armed suspects instructed them to open the vehicle's door.
Regional spokesperson, Monica Nyuswa says the driver was shot dead through the driver's window and died in his wife's arm in a crime which made international headlines.
Nyuswa says the suspect indicated in court that he would be applying for bail but she says the NPA will oppose the application while the police continue investigating the case.
The suspect is expected back in court on the 28th of October and he will remain behind bars.
