Two suspects are expected to appear in the Durban Magistrates Court on Thursday for allegedly kidnapping a local businessman.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele says four armed suspects kidnapped a 60-year-old man as he was leaving his business premises in July this year.
She says he was held hostage for seven days before the family received a ransom demand of R10 million which was paid for his release.
Colonel Mbele says on Sunday, police traced the money to a family trust in Bloemfontein which led them to a house in Bainsvlei where the suspects were arrested.
Police also seized electronic devices, two rifles and a firearm during the arrest.
The suspects, both aged 48 will be in court today to face charges of kidnapping and extortion.
Police are still searching for two more suspects who were allegedly involved.
