Alleged drug dealers arrested after undercover operation

Four people were arrested and R1.6m in cash was seized in two separate drug busts in Chatsworth on Thursday.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Jay Naicker says a drug dealer and his accomplice were arrested when they sold 3 000 Mandrax tablets to an undercover policeman.

He says crime intelligence undercover operatives made a total of 12 purchases from the drug dealer over a period of a month, and bought crack cocaine, Mandrax tablets and ecstasy worth approximately R136 000.

Naicker says the drugs were seized and two more people were arrested at the drug dealers' house.

The suspects will appear in court soon.
