A 52-year-old man from Pretoria will spend the weekend behind bars following his arrest for the illegal possession of drugs worth over a million rand.
The suspect was arrested in the leafy suburb of Wingate Park, east of Pretoria on Friday after police obtained a search and seizure warrant from the court.
Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu of the Hawks says police confiscated suspected crystal meth and heroin, already packaged, with an estimated street value of R1.5 million.
He says a cash amount of R10 000 was also seized.
The suspect will appear in the Pretoria Magistrates court on Monday and the investigation continues.
