Four days of rain predicted for Eastern Cape

The SA Weather Service predicts more than 30 millimetres of rain over four days starting on Saturday.

Weather Office spokesperson, Garth Sampson, says this is predicted for the whole province, South of the escarpment.

However, Sampson says they're predicting higher rainfall amounts along the Eastern Cape Coastal Areas between Plettenberg Bay and Port Edward.

These can be between 50 to 100 mm over four days.

The impacts of the heavier rainfall in places will only be experienced from Sunday onwards and could include some very localized flooding.

Sampson says an official warning will be sent out closer to the time.

He says sadly this rain will not be enough to break the drought.
