West Indies beat South Africa by seven runs to clinch the KFC T20l series 2-1 in Johannesburg on Tuesday night.
Hero of the last innings, Quinton de Kock could not repeat the record-breaking feat of the second test which levelled the series, as the Proteas ended their run chase on 213 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Opener De Kock made a run-a-ball 21, with fellow opener Reeza Hendricks putting up another sterling performance with a knock of 83 off 44 balls.
The visitors set a competitive score of 226 for 8 in their 20 overs, with Nicholas Pooran (41) and Brandon King (36), the mainstay of the Windies innings.
Second T20 centurion, Johnson Charles, could also not repeat his heroics, after being bowled for a duck by Kagiso Rabada, who also got the wicket of Kyle Mayers for 17.
Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi both got a brace.
Speaking post-match, Proteas captain Aiden Markram conceded that they let themselves down with the bat.
