Train wins inaugural Nelson Mandela Bay Train race

The Metro train won the inaugural Nelson Mandela Bay train race over 38 kilometres between Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage on Sunday.
Zsports's Michael Zoetmulder reports that the train - with 600 passengers on board - trundled into Uitenhage station about 30 seconds ahead of the first team.
The winners on the road where the 7-man team from IAC investments who won in a time of one hour, 57 minutes and 56 seconds.
Amongs the other categories - the first club team home was Charlo Road Runners.
The first social club was Secret Seven and the first school team home was Grasslaagte Primary.
Zoetmulder says there were just under 2-thousand entries and that next year - in true Comrades Marathon style - the race will be a down run from Uitenhage back to PE.
