Three Warriors players in CSA's T20 World Cup squad

Tristan Stubbs at his destructive best for the Warriors

Cricket South Africa

Three members of the Warriors cricket franchise in Nelson Mandela Bay have been named in Cricket South Africa's squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Australia in October and November.

They are fast bowler Anrich Nortje, aggressive young batsman Tristan Stubbs, and another fast bowler in Marco Jansen - who is one of three travelling reserves.

White-ball captain Temba Bavuma returns to the national fold after recovering from a left elbow injury but Rassie van der Dussen has been ruled out of the World Cup with a fractured finger.

All 15 players are capped, with 22-year-old Stubbs receiving his maiden World Cup call-up following an impressive outing in the recent T20I series against England.
Other notable selections include Rilee Rossouw and former Warriors all-rounder Wayne Parnell.

The squad departs for India on a warm-up series on the 23rd of September.
