The Eastern Cape franchise finished third on the log and qualify with a better net run rate.
Former Proteas captain Faf du Plessis took centre stage at the Wanderers on Sunday as JSK secured their spot in the semi-finals.
Du Plessis struck 92 from 61 balls, with JSK posting a total of 160 for 6. Reeza Hendricks chipped in with 40 off 36 balls, playing his supporting role to perfection again with the opening partnership yielding 119 in 14.2 overs.
The Sunrisers fought back with limited-overs captain Temba Bavuma, who recently joined the Eastern Cape outfit, knocking 50 of 34 balls, while team skipper Aiden Markram chipped in with 34.
